The NaviBlind App, hereinafter referred to as the App, is an electronic navigation aid that connects to a GPS device and assists the blind and visually impaired in finding their way.
This document concerns NaviBlind ApS ('we' or 'us') and contains NaviBlind ApS's privacy policy regarding the collection and processing of Personal Data (this 'Privacy Policy').
“Applicable data protection legislation” refers to the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation No. 2016/679), as supplemented and implemented by Act No. 502 of May 23, 2018 (the Data Protection Act) and related national legislation, as well as the European Parliament and Council Directive 2002/58/EC of July 12, 2002 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector (E-Privacy Directive) and its national implementations.
Personal Data means any information relating to an identifiable natural person that can be directly or indirectly identified by an identifier such as a name, address, location data, or IP addresses.
Processing refers to any activity that personal data is subjected to, such as collection, organization, storage, deletion, or disclosure.
Data Controller refers to us in this context, as we determine the purposes and means for the Processing of Personal Data.
We Process the following Personal Data when you create a user account with us:
- Full name
- Address
- Email address
- Phone number
When you use the app, we also process location data in order to show you relevant guides in your current area. Location data is also collected but is anonymized before being stored.
When you request a new private route, we Process the following Personal Data:
- Starting address, from where you want the guide to begin
- End address, where you want to go to
When you report errors or improvements, we Process the following Personal Data:
- Technical data, including information about your device (model, screen size, processor, and operating system)
- Location information
- Name and email address
If you have subscribed to our newsletter:
- Full name
- Email address
We also process information about your unique user ID, although this is only known to NaviBlind.
We Process the above Personal Data for the following purposes
- To manage your user account
- To provide the requested Services, such as new routes
- To deliver newsletters and marketing from us and our partners
- To inform you about service announcements and communicate with you
- To improve and develop the App, and to analyze your use of our service
- To ensure the technical functionality of the Service and to prevent use of the Service in violation of the terms of use

You have the unconditional right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. You also have the right to withdraw your prior consent. The withdrawal of your consent has no consequences for the lawful processing of personal data prior to the withdrawal, and we may continue to process your personal data on other legal grounds, except for direct marketing.
If you object to the processing of your personal data processed based on our legitimate interests, we will immediately cease processing your data for those purposes.
We may share and disclose your Personal Data to relevant recipients such as providers of hosting services for our website.
When you visit our website, you may be referred to other websites where the processing of your Personal Data is not under our control. The privacy policy of those other websites governs the processing of your personal information on that specific website.
We may access, preserve, and share your Personal Information in response to a legal request (such as search warrants, court orders, subpoenas, or similar), or if necessary to detect, prevent, or prosecute fraud or other illegal activities, protect ourselves, you, or other users, including as part of an investigation.
We do not collect information using technologies such as cookies, pixels, and local storage (on your browser or device).
We store your personal data until you choose to delete your profile. If we have obtained consent for marketing, we keep the consent as long as we use it and for up to two years after its last use. NaviBlind ApS keeps statistics on the number of completed routes, the number of route requests, and other usage of the App.
We do not collect Personal Information about individuals under 15 years of age knowingly. Please contact NaviBlind ApS if you become aware that a child for whom you are a parent or guardian has provided us with Personal Information without your consent, in order to exercise your right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the Processing of Personal Information, or object to the Processing.
You have the right to request access to and additional information about the processing of your Personal Data, or request that we correct, rectify, complete, delete, or restrict the processing of your Personal Data. You are entitled to request a free copy of your Personal Data that we process up to two (2) times a year. We may charge a reasonable fee based on our administrative costs if you request additional copies.
You have the right to have the processing of your Personal Data restricted if:
- You have contested the accuracy of the Personal Data
- The processing is unlawful, and you have requested a restriction of it.
- We no longer need your personal data for the original purpose, but we require it to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- An assessment of which interest weighs heaviest in connection with a request for deletion is underway.
Where our processing is automated and based on consent or the fulfillment of a contract, you have the right to data portability. Data portability means that you can receive the personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and you have the right to transfer the personal data to another data controller.

If you want to unsubscribe as a user, you can do so by sending an email to support@naviblind.dk. In your email, please provide your full name and the email address used for registration if you wish to exercise your rights as described above.
If you wish to file a complaint regarding our processing of your Personal Information, you have the option to submit your complaint to the competent local supervisory authority. You can find more information about the local supervisory authorities.
When we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you on our website and via email if you are registered in our system. If the changes require your consent, we will provide you with additional, separate notice and request your consent in accordance with the Applicable Data Protection Laws.
